The funny thing is the first day Tony and I went out shooting film, I spent the whole day shooting only until did we realize that the camera had no film in it. I still to this day remember in my mind the some of the shots I took that will never be. I always make sure the camera has film in it :)
One other benefit people often talk about with using film is you take better pictures because you don't take as many photos. Each time you push the shutter it costs money to use a frame of the film and the developing, whereas after the initial investment in digital it is free. I do understand the methodology with the film and do notice I take much less photos. But with that said it is much harder to experiment because it is costing money. Some of my biggest development in photography has come from experimentation.
So I do have a soft spot for film, but I think only in conjunction with digital right now in my photography development. Here are some of my favorite shots from my first 2 rolls of film. I have 2 more on the go right now so I will share those when I am finished with the roll. Next up, learning to develop!
