Are you Taking Care of your Soul
It is a very busy time of year with the upcoming holiday season. Everyone is trying to not only meet our normal daily obligations but in addition finish our shopping and preparations for the holiday season. The holiday season is supposed to be a time of love, reflection, and happiness but every holiday season I notice the same thing...most people are cranky, impatient, and just generally in a foul mood (I myself am guilty of this from time to time).
But why at one of the happiest times of year are we in our worst moods? I believe the cause comes from us becoming so busy we often forget one of our most important tasks; taking care of our soul. I have spoken about this quite often in the past when discussing the importance of our personal sanctuaries and was reminded about it while working through my book last night. I thought today I would share a passage from a past post as a friendly reminder.

Its Me Again....
Hey Everyone,
I bet you have been thinking I have forgotten all about you. I am sorry for the extremely long delay in posts, but it has been a crazy busy time since September. It all started with Amy and my move to Hamilton, followed by a prolonged illness, and then the wedding planning took over. We never expected the weeks leading up to the wedding to be as busy as they ended up being but they took up quite a lot of time.
The wedding was a blast! It took place on the beautiful island of Aruba. We couldn't have asked for a better place, it was a dream wedding. I ended up taking quite a few photos, although most of them came from the honeymoon week. The week of the wedding was just too busy for me for my camera to make an appearance out of my satchel bag but I was able to get some awesome shots the second week. In the posts to come I will share some photos with you and share a link where you can go check the photos out.
Now that we are back, we have just been scurrying around getting ready for the Christmas season. With the Christmas season upon us I have decided to run a "giveaway". I thought it would be a fun way to embrace the Christmas spirit and it is a really simple giveaway that everyone can take part in.
As you all know I have started a dedicated photography facebook page/(www.facebook.com/aaronoffordphotography) This page is the central location for my photography and includes updates and many of my photographs. If you click on the link you will be taken to the page. I encourage you all to go check it out :)
The giveaway is quite simple, just click the link to be taken to the facebook page. When you arrive there click the like button to like my page. That is it! I told you it was simple, but you must be wondering what the giveaway is.
For every 10 people that like my page I am going to give away a free 8x10 print. To select the recipients, I will do a random draw from the list of people who like my page, and the winners can select the print of their choice. I want this to be a holiday inspired giveaway and since it is so easy to participate in the deadline will be the end of boxing day.
So go check out and "like" the page, send the link to as many people as you know and encourage them to do the same. I am in the giving mood this holiday season and would like to give away as many prints as I can!
The link once again is www.facebook.com/aaronoffordphotography
That is it for today but don't worry my next post will be soon :)
