Decorate to Donate
The past two days I have spent sharing what I thought to be my 18 best photographs from across a number styles. The general consensus seems that this sunrise photo of the pier was everyone's favorite.
You may be wondering why I did two photo posts on back to back days when I hadn't done one in the longest time. There were actually two reasons behind this.
First, I wanted to go through the exercise of ranking and selecting my favourite photos from my library. I had never really done an exercise like this before and I knew as an artist I have to start learning to be very critical of my work. After going through the exercise I can report that some images were no brainers for selection (ie. the sunrise pictures) whereas there were many circumstances that I wanted to include more than my self imposed allottment. It really was a wonderful exercise, and one that I will have to do more often.

Best of My Best: Top 6 Street Photographs
This has become my main genre of photography over the past year. Over the course of the year I have noticed my preferences and shooting style have changed quite dramatically from when I began. This top 6 list I feel is represents pieces that have taken a large jump over my earlier work. I hope you enjoy them

Celebrating an Epidemic Away
We have a big problem that is taking hold around us faster than an epidemic; negative thinking. Before you go off dismissing this, really take a few minutes to sit back and reflect on it. Think of your own day to day. You probably just breeze by all the great things you do without a second thought, but as soon as even the smallest mistake is made you just pile on.
This is what I mean about negative thinking, when we constantly beat ourselves up over errors or mistakes we have made in our lives. Sure it is okay, and even helpful to do this in a controlled manner, but for most as soon as the negative thinking starts it snowballs; eventually consuming us.
Don't worry I have the cure to this epidemic of negative thinking; be positive.

streetogrOFFY signup!!
I know many of you have really come to love looking at the photographs that I have taken over the past year and with the creation of my second home streetogrOFFY, this home doesn't get as many photo updates. I created streetogrOFFY because my street photography was becoming so dominant it would have taken over Aaron Outward completely.
Building off of this success I thought today would be a perfect time to offer the same option for my street photography. This site is mainly just updated with new pictures and brief descriptions so don't worry your inbox won't be flooded with two huge posts :)
So if you are interested in seeing my street photography stuff more often please sign up on the form provided below.
ps. this week I will be posting some of my best photos yet, if that gives you any incentive ;)
