Grabbing some Me Time
With the upcoming wedding, trip, and side project I have been working on, it has been pretty busy around here needless to say something hada to give. Unfortunately my writing time here on the blog was the one to suffer with all that is going on.
When so much is going on in our lives it is very easy to get overwhelmed and stressed which can often lead to shortness and crankiness in our dealings with others, especially those close to us.
This is why I think it is so important even in our busiest times to find a little "Me" time. It doesn't have to be much, but something you enjoy doing where you can be at peace with yourself.
I was very careful this time around not letting the hustle and bustle of life push aside my photography. I allowed that earlier in the summer and found I was miserable. Realiizing this has just further cemented in my mind just how important passions are for us. Sure the other P's of Positivity are important, but on a day to day basis it is our passions that help with the maintenance of a positive and healthy lifestyle.
So this time around with my days and nights becoming so busy, I have managed to continue setting time aside for my photography. I have taken to getting up early and photographing the sunrise again, and even ended my hiatus with street photography.
I am sure each and every one of you experience this overload of daily chores where you have to let something slip off to the side. Allowing it to be a passion can be a dangerous thing though, I can feel it in my emotions this time around, being really busy, and when I haven't used my camera for a couple days.
What have you done in your lives to ensure you are grabbing some of that all important me time?
